Cycle Track Ponds and Boat House Blocked Storm Drain

This body of work explores how information can give insight and new interpretations on an image. These images of the Hollow Ponds in East London were originally displayed with two sets of accompanying text, one positive, one negative. The aim of this piece is to highlight the ambiguous meaning of particular locations; places can have differing reputations, but it is the human element that makes them either innocent or sinister, similarly the images by themselves are simply of a woodland area, it only when adding the text that the meaning changes.
