Greetings Cards from The White Lighthouse
This is new work that I have recently produced and have turned into A6 greetings cards. These images are 'Photograms' produced by placing objects onto photographic paper and exposing it to light, the objects stop the light from reaching the paper and this is how the sillouettes and shadows are created. Because of the nature of the photogram, each one is unique, each piece of paper is individually exposed to light, and developed in a darkroom, there are no negatives to reproduce the same image over again. I have developed this style into larger pieces of work which I recently showed in an exhibition 'Painting With Light' at the Changing Room Gallery in Lloyd Park, Walthamstow.
